VOX AUDITIONS

Thank you for your interest in joining the Vox International Choir!

We'd love to get to know you and hear your voice.

To apply, simply fill in the application form at the bottom of this page.

Selected candidates will be invited to a two-part audition process.

part 1 (prior to an in-person audition):

To help you prepare, we'll send you a score and a rehearsal kit tailored to your voice. You will respond to our email with 2 recorded audio files (one of you singing the piece of music and the other of you doing the vocal warm-up we send you).

please Note: your recordings must be received within one week of us sending them to you or your application becomes void and you must wait 6 months to reapply.

Part 2 (an in-person audition):

where you'll sing a piece as part of a vocal quartet alongside current choir members.

🎶 Rehearsals:

Rehearsals take place every Thursday from 7–10 pm at the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Porto. Sessions are conducted mostly in Portuguese and English, in a welcoming, creative and international atmosphere.

🌍 Repertoire:

Our repertoire is broad and varied, spanning Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, sacred, traditional, pop and jazz — with works from many countries and cultures.

💶 Fees:

Monthly Contribution: €25 — This is a fixed commitment essential to the choir’s operation (covering operational costs, conductor’s payment, etc.) and for maintaining your place in the choir. One-Time Entry Fee: €25 — This applies upon joining and covers initial administrative and material costs.
